Because he was being fired upon by the sniper in the trees to his right. Fact supported by video and ballistics. When he did scope again he had turned to his right, toward the trees.

Yup. A couple of weeks ago I questioned if that s.s. counter sniper hadn't been shot at, but at that time, the water-tower (& not the trees) was the prevailing thought on location. [#59][#92]
