Obama signed the largest military aid package to Israel up to that point, larger than any preceding president, including Bush.

Of course, Trump gave even more than Obama, exempting only Israel from his foreign aid cuts.

These are simple facts. Both parties support Israel in actions, if not always in words.

I never said anything about Israel's need for weapons. I said that regardless of which party controls Congress or the White House, welfare continues to flow to Israel. Fact.

Israel is an extremely wealthy country. It has a thriving tech sector. A generous welfare state, with free health care and college tuition for its citizens.

Israel can afford to pay for its weapons. Instead, Israel is constantly demanding handouts.
