I was actually excited to see this.
It really is a cool concept.
But, I think the execution could have been handled much better. Not over 3 miles, for starters.
This underlines the fact that too much emphasis has been placed more and more on catering to TV audiences. I’m starting to think if you get a ticket to opening ceremonies, you are being ripped off. You’re sitting in one area and will hardly see anything, except those damn JumboTrons they think are substitutes for direct viewing. If I wanted to see it on TV I’d stay home.
This could’ve had so much potential.
Comments on other aspects would take too much time. I can write a whole column about this.
BTW, nothing is as bad as England celebrating its socialized medicine in its stadium.
What do you expect when they have karaoke contests and they are taken seriously?
