Political donations in Canada are 75% tax-deductible on the first $400 so we get income tax receipts. I’ve always thought this was self-serving of the politicians to create such a law, but it means I get receipts by email and snail mail for the donations I make. I’m guessing those donations aren’t tax-deductible in the US since the “donors” are unaware of their generosity?
I don’t think we’ve ever donated to any politician no matter how good one might be such as DJT, we are po’ folk.
