Congress Critters have gone home. But, they can be arrested while not in session. I reckon there's a lot SES still in DC, though.

The 6000 figure I can trace back to one source (Michael Jaco) from a "reliable source". That said there was swearing in of NYPD and somewhere in Texas I think.
