Assuming we’re seeing pics of the actual rifle, yeah it has open sights, no scope. A scope would in no way be necessary to make a person-sized head shot at 130 yards, or so. The front yard at my shop is something over 150 yards wide/long. I kill varmits almost daily all over the space with whatever rifle is within reach, scope/no-scope, whatever. Squirrel-sized varmits are maybe 1/4 the size of a human head.
And it’s worth noting that our GI’s initially qualify on a 24” bull, with open sights, at 300 yards. The center of the bull is a head-sized black ball.
So, you’re good-—not to worry-—about that, anyway.

The picture of the shooter shows him wearing glasses.
Did he have contacts or glasses on for the shooting, or neither?
What was his prescription?
Near sighted?
Far sighted?
