… U.S. President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the White House race may well turn 2024 into the Year of the Woman — namely, that of Vice President Kamala Harris who, armed with the outgoing president’s endorsement, can now be considered the front-runner to replace him atop the Democratic ticket.
Truth is, if Harris is successful in getting the nod from the Democratic Party, much of the subsequent election campaign is likely to domestically focus on abortion and women’s rights. Trump already has a problem with women voters — polls have consistently shown that the proportion of women planning to vote for him this November is smaller than those who did in 2020. And Vance has nothing to offer Trump on this score — quite the reverse, he risks compounding his boss’s problem.
Presumably, Trump chose Vance as his VP candidate largely to fire up the MAGA base and boost the Republican ticket in Rust Belt states. But that was a choice made when Biden was still heading the Democratic ticket. Now that he’s not, Vance may well become a liability.

There would be no other reason at this point. It would be much, worse if Trump replaced him. Would do nothing more than “prove” for the left that Trump is not reliable, trustworthy, or one to have the backs of those working for him.
Just like 2016 was "the year of the woman" as well and Trump didn't pick a woman and did just fine.
That door needs to be shut. Biden was only where he is by total fraud. We haven’t slammed the door on that yet either.

I am part of the MAGA base and none of us needed any "firing up" by any VP pick {although picking niki would have been a turn off}.
What these media talking head don’t understand (but really should after Hillary’s defeat) is that women ARE NOT the black community, they don’t vote in lock step just because the candidate “looks like them”. Trump ended up getting more white women than Hillary did in 2016 and will this year as well.
All along I thought Dr. Carson would have been the best pick for VP. The MSM would not be able to lay a glove on him, certainly a role model for all American youth.

Vance was picked because he is solid MAGA. The Republican party is now the America first working class party. Get over yourselves GOPe.
I like Vance, but Byron Donalds was my favorite.
