Reading that BS, it just occurred to me what the Democrat strategy for 2024 might be evolving into: they let Biden run against Trump as a sacrificial lamb.

This way, although they temporarily lose the White House, they can spend the next four years framing President Trump not as the people’s choice, but as an otherwise loser, who won only because he ran against Joe Biden, who even the Democrats agree is the worst candidate ever.

If they believe President Trump has a good chance of winning in November, this may be their best strategy.

Consider the alternative: they replace Biden with Michelle Obama, who Democrats all believe is Ms. Messiah. But what if President Trump wins anyway? Then, the Democrats are screwed - the make news narrative becomes much more difficult to sell.

It’s one thing if Trump beats the brain-dead President Poopy pants, that’s not saying much. The Democrats can still tell themselves they are the party of the people - but just had a terrible candidate.

If Trump beats the best they have to offer - Michelle Obama - there is no way the fake news can spin it - the whole world will be put on notice that the MAGA Movement is ascendant, and the Progressive Movement has lost favor with the people.

I’m betting the Democrats would rather concede the next four years and blame the loss on Biden, than run Michelle Obama and risk handing MAGA a decades-long mandate if she loses.

I agree. The Dems major concern is suffering a huge loss in the Senate and House races with Biden on the ballot.
