The building burning tonight the original church still used by the church apparently but not for worship services they moved to a new location in 2013.
That’s good news. Horrid news that it’s burning, but good that it’s not going to impact worship services.
I always hate to see older building destroyed by any means.
It's been used for weekly worship services since shortly after the new building was completed. Some of the pews were removed and the remained spaced out, but it has been in use since that renovation for a contemporary morning service at 11 Central with a praise band. The larger, modern new sanctuary is used for the traditional service with a choir and orchestra (9:15 and 11).
Last I heard, the didn't know if they would be able to use the new sanctuary this Sunday because of smoke in the air conditioning system.
