Purportedly, the fix for the PC/crowdstrike BSOD is to reboot in safe mode and delete a specified crowdsrike file.

Or a system restore to an earlier date.

Most average folks don't use this software. Only businesses.

yeah, this means touching EVERY SINGLE affected endpoint.

Most general users can’t launch a PC in safe mode with networking without an authorization code that IT support might not want to give out.

And then they have to KNOW what they are doing or they’ll make it worse.

I was going to fix my wife’s laptop for her but was stopped by the ‘enter your authorization code’ step. Her company was still at Win 10 for most all endpoints, and they are crushed by this.

I haven’t seen anywhere whether that is a true fix or a work around.
Is it a file that should not be there?
or is it a file that should be there but this particular version has a bug that causes the issue?

If this is just a work around then maybe crowdstrike is running with limited or no functionality if you remove that file.
