Obama is not eligible to be President again, so therefore is ineligible to be VP. A person who is ineligible to be President may not be named as a VP candidate.

Perhaps you're right. Here's the text from the 22nd Amendment:
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

It specifically says "shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice". In the scenario I described Obama wouldn't be elected twice for prez. The same for the second sentence's "shall be elected to the office of the President" (in regards to having served as prez without being elected, which Obama hasn't done).

So at least how I read it, I can see the Dims' pushing his highness into the WH again.

I get what you’re saying, but I think it would fast track to SCOTUS if that happened. I don’t think it would end well for B. O.

“It specifically says “shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice”. In the scenario I described Obama wouldn't be elected twice for prez.”

But you also must take into account amendment 12: “no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice President of the United States”.
