A Letter To My 1-Year-Old Son About His Abortion (BARF)
Huff Po ^ | May 15, 2024 | Matt Tente

Posted on 07/17/2024 1:40:03 PM PDT by Morgana

Son, one day you’ll ask us what it was like when you came into this world and for years, we will lie. We will say it was joyful and wonderful and beautiful and all the other -fuls we can think of, because the truth won’t be easy to tell.

That the story began nearly two years before you were born, when your mom’s obstetrician confirmed she was pregnant. That appointment was two days before my 36th birthday, and one day before your grandpa, Pop Pop, was diagnosed with incurable cancer.

We will fib, skipping over the parts about joy, wonder and beauty being clouded by a fear I was too afraid to speak of — that Pop Pop wouldn’t live long enough to meet his grandchild.

We will wait until you are older to tell you how that fear was upstaged by another, when a doctor explained the terms “nuchal fluid,” “chromosomal abnormality” and the three different trisomies: Down’s, Edwards’ and Patau’s. These are chromosomal conditions that cause severe and sometimes fatal birth defects.

The doctor presented us with options — options I was scared to share with Pop Pop because he was raised Catholic in the ’60s, which made him pro-life by default.

We will tell you white lies until you are grown, because we can’t share your story without mentioning Kate Cox, Nancy Davis or the Dobbs decision. We will only share the good parts, and none of the bad, because we won’t know how to explain to a toddler the simple fact that you might not be here if we had lived somewhere else.

Absolutely disgusting.

My wife miscarried at 20 weeks. Everything had looked so good up till then, so she was absolutely devastated.

When the time came, she went into the delivery room to give birth to a dead baby. And through all the intense emotional pain, she said these words to me, that I’ll never forget for the rest of my life: “This is the last thing I can do for him.”

I can’t ever read these stories anymore without thinking back to her heroic and selfless attitude that day...and realizing what a massive difference there is between her and some of these other harpies who don’t deserve the name “mother.”

So it's the "more you know" excuse for these materialistic unbelievers.

Society in general should promote chance rather than death because anyone or any government can make excuses for killing anyone with the same POV, in this case, Trisomy 18. Useless eater perhaps, is a popular one you know or other perverted reasons for murdering the innocent. Either way, unless the life of the mother is imperiled, the only action is to bring life into the world. If you are too scared, don't do actions that causes pregnancy, life is precious for anyone, regardless on how long you live.

Rev 6:10

10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”

99% of those calling themselves “pro-choice” are pro abortion. They are NOT in favor of having a choice.

It is not the same thing. They worship abortion as if it were a sacrament. They believe abortion is no different than birth control. That’s their “choice”. Completing an unplanned pregnancy is not included in their idea of “choice”.

If they believed in choice they would not go nuts trying to hide the medical statistics on the risks of abortion, nor what it does to a woman’s fertility. If they believed in free choice they would welcome giving women an accurate understanding of the potential costs of their choices.

Women who have children and then start talking about their abortions for whatever reason profoundly affect their children. Their children never look at their mother the same now knowing that this woman knowingly and willingly killed one or more of their siblings.

...but the title doesn’t make any sense, as they didn’t abort the second child, how can it be “his” abortion?

Because the father tells himself that the mother of their child aborted the first child for the benefit of the second child. "You're alive because we killed your brother. We did it for you."

No, they did it for themselves and it's sick to pin that on the second child.

I was born with spina bifida. Fortunately I was born in the 1950s, so Mom and Dad had no idea what awaited them. I’m still working past retirement age, and have climbed 14K footers five times. I was foolish to do it even once, but I was defiant towards my limitations. I’ve paid dearly with chronic pain ever since. I learned the hard way that opioids and antidepressants are no answer to a productive and happy life.

They will raise a narcissist who will grow up to kill both of them. Then he can write a letter explaining why he had to kill them.

I wonder about what celebrity abortion supporters, since they’re now on record for good, tell their eventual children how they dodged the bullet. Seems to me that discussion could involve plenty of therapy.
