Sigh. I looked at the things Vance has said in the past as mostly politics. It reminds me of a little ditty I read years ago, and have always remembered:

The election is over
The results are known
The will of the people
Is clearly shown
Let's all get together
And let bitterness pass
I'll kiss your Elephant
And you kiss my...

I think I saw this some fifty years ago, but interesting that given what we see today with all the "tone down the rhetoric" cries from the Left, that this appropriate little poem seems to fit them like a glove.

Funny how I can't find that little poem on the Internet, though. I wanted to find out who wrote it...
