I just watched the first five minutes of “The View” so nobody else has to. It was all I could stand. Whoopi shi, er Goldberg is conveniently out with Covid. They were pretending that they cared about unity.

The Word of God also says not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Also that we are in the world but not of it. The early Church was persecuted for not agreeing/celebrating sin and for preaching the gospel, which is vehemently opposed by the world.
Yes, we are to love and pray for the world, but not to compromise God’s Word to please them. We are to be Christians first.

They usually reject it…sucks to be them.
God also knows that I will not turn the other cheek, I’ll choose to trust and accept His judgement on me.
He knows my limits already.

Yes. Some I work with and or know voted for Trump last 2 election cycles. We will disagree on all perceiving it as weakness. Stupidity? Always. Weakness? Sometimes.
Oh. Forgot to mention how they perceive us acting with grace really doesn’t matter. It is what God commands and He sees which is all that matters in the end. He can and often will use that to convict persons of their sin. I refuse to second guess the Creator of the universe on how He wishes us to behave in these situations. We were told we’d be mocked and persecuted so it is no shocker right.
Good Biblical reference. Remember the Master’s words when Peter cut off Malthus’ear. I do not advocate initializing violence of any sort. But I do not want Christians to be unaware of the enemy(and his minions) that opposes us every day. We are to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves. I feel the modern democratic party is unequivocablly evil. We are not to have fellowship with evil. My God turned President’s Trump’s head at the last moment and saved him. I rejoice in this.
Unity sounds good.
