Either tactical Secret Service or DHS Force Protective Services, would be my guess. Every Federal law enforcement agencies have snipers.

I was at a speech overseas by the first President Bush. He spoke on the flight line. I was approached by a SS agent because my flight line access badge was not in English. They were issued by the host country. I did however carry my DOD ID in a clear case around my next. I needed that if stopped by coalition guards. The SS agent faced a hanger 200-300 yards away and held my card up for someone to read. There were five of us, he did that with each person. End of the speech, Bush leaves, snipers came out of drain culverts, the roof tops of every hanger near the site. The guys in the culvert had to be sick after, those culverts had water mixed with Turco, hydraulic fluid, jet fuels and oil. Point is everything was covered. The agent came over and talked to us after, as he did the sniper came over, it would have cost me a years wages for the scope on what appeared to be an M40. I guess that was before the SS became a DEI shitte show.

____________

Unknown at present; Bongino pointing out this a.m. on Fox interview that SS sometimes uses their own personnel and sometimes local assets.
