The only people in the down line areas who have power ironically are the ones with solar panels I should know I sold a number of pallets of panels to my home builder high school friend who puts them up on his luxury builds on Katy. I get them wholesale with my LLC. It’s a side prepper thing for me not for profit. Buy bulk get discounts so communal not so bad in that case. This builds all have island mode inverters so those homes in the downed area have had power since the sun came up days ago. A pox on Centrmerpoint they are the worst.
