WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - The City of West Hollywood will soon break ground on a massive monument to the victims of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
Stories: The AIDS Monument will be erected in West Hollywood Park, adjacent to San Vicente Boulevard and the West Hollywood Library.
"The HIV/AIDS crisis is deeply tied to who we are as a city," said West Hollywood Mayor John Erickson. "Being a bastion of the LGBTQ community, we recognize we honor our history in this amazing way, is just a wonderful step our city is able to take."

Guaranteed to be a monstrosity, if not obscene.

Did Mayor Erickson just unwittingly equate the “gay” community to HIV/AIDS? Where’s the outrage?

These days, I rarely venture west of the Orange Curtain (Orange County/LA County border), but when I do, I try to avoid West Hollywood. “Rainbow” flags celebrating the sodomite culture are everywhere.

Not sure if we need to see this flaccid representation. Will Pete be there for the reveal? Admiral miss whatever its name is?

Let's hope it's not a rendition of the high risk activities which spread the disease.

I'm grateful to live where the fag rag is rarely seen, except in certain contained neighborhoods. Even there, gay fatigue is setting in.
I probably see 1 or 2 rainbow or "=" car stickers for every 500 vehicles. It's almost like most people see the shame in it.

Honoring something that killed a lot of gay people seems odd

A disease from monkeys and apes the homos brought into the US around 1980 and spread it after a huge homo orgy on Fire Island NY. Then they contaminated the blood supply causing the deaths of thousands of non-gay people. Since 1980, about seven hundred thousand dead by this disease in the US alone. They now have a month to celebrate it, and a monument. Will there be a monument to Typhoid Mary?
Makes one wonder how they caught it from the apes.

Makes one wonder how they caught it from the apes. Makes you wonder.
It's even more horrific how children "in proximity" to homosexuals somehow caught monkeypox, which is only transmitted by extended close skin contact with an infected individual.
And some sodomites even passed it along to their DOG!
