I’m not a huge fan of alligators, but if a human did this to this animal... They should receive the same treatment.

I'm more inclined to think another gator did it. But who knows - there's certainly no shortage of people sick enough to do it.

Most likely it was another alligator, especially the males are territorial and will drive away the weaker males and some cases kill the really weak males
