The conservatives focus on the next five minutes. Conservative Parties: "We can't exercise power unless we win elections."
People: "Here, we just elected you, now do something!"
Conservative Parties: "We can't pass any legislation because if we do, the media will call us bad names."

The islamists and the marxists are playing the long game. The conservatives focus on the next five minutes. For the Marxist it is a losing game even if they win.
Marxist are ardent atheist.
Islamist are not and will not tolerate any who do not profess and practice Islam.
When they realize their mistake it will be too late unless they are willing to undertake a bloody and never ending civil war followed by and endless repression.
History suggest that is exactly what they will do.
But who knows who will come out on top of that struggle.
