The only AFB I’m familiar with currently has a BK but no Popeyes. And the BK doesn’t participate with app deals so I don’t go there much. They also have a little Filipino fast food kind of place indoors in the BX which is pretty good.

That's interesting, still around. In a way I'm glad to hear that. We were at High Wycombe and I remember one there.

My mother loved one weird sandwich they had at the time, something like sardine and cucumbers. Ewww nasty when your sandwich looks back at you..

Which base? The only two that I know of that are still active with airplanes are RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall. When I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in the 1970s there were also RAF Bentwaters, RAF Alconbury, and RAF Upper Heyford with airplanes. There were no fast-food places on base, nor in the surrounding towns for that matter. When I visited back to RAF Lakenheath in 1994, they had a BK I believe.
