I found this very confusing. Why was the Uke Parliament wanting their President to contact President Trump? Then I read comment #10 and realized this was old news. Checked at the top and saw this was from someone writing in 2019. And yes, there is corruption in Ukraine but it has been improved since 2019. Russian corruption is even worse than Ukraine’s, especially as Ukraine has actually been trying to improve things which it needs to do in order to enter NATO. Putin has little incentive to improve corruption in Russia as the oligarchs know he will leave them alone if they manage their corruption carefully. They just need to stay out of politics.
