It is a risky proposition. To start a campaign this late is quite hard, especially given the rival factions for power (Obama, Clinton, Pelosi wings of the Democrat party).
The candidate starts from ground zero with fundraising.
That is unless the Democrats blatantly violate the law.
Without regards to what I think of her, because it doesn’t matter, Kamala Harris should be the nominee. She’s the VP and should be POTUS under the 25th. People have given to the Biden/Harris campaign, not to somebody else.
She might have sucked on some private parts to get where she is, but legally she should be the choice. If “democracy” matters anymore.
