DEI is not collapsing.
The companies that have gone all in on DEI are collapsing because hiring incompetent, angry chip on their shoulder DEI employees and instituting the insane DEI agenda in you organization is corporate suicide .
We have spent a century trying build institutional corporate competence and we are now trying to destroy all that work by forcing DEI, which is institutionalized corporate incompetence by design, on American business, education and political systems
The fact is that DEI is so toxic in the real world that any organization that adopts it fails in a remarkably short period of time.
DEI came out of the university academic, K-12 public education , political/ government and media segments of our society where in competency and failure is tolerated and often rewarded.
DEI is collapsing because it is like a plague so virulent or a parasite so debilitating that it invariably kills its host in short order
I was thinking about the companies that have perhaps fatally inflected wounds on themselves due to DEI and DEI-like initiatives. List I have started include the following:
Gillette
Coca Cola
Budweiser
Tractor Supply (Quick recovery, there!)
Most of the Liberal Arts Colleges and Universities
