You are on the right track in understanding how hormones shape the brain and drive development.
A lot of people are jaded because of the over-saturation of trans this and trans that and presume that all trans people are crazy, abused, groomed, etc.
That is not the case.
Whenever someone claims to be trans, I ask them what their underlying genetic disorder is: that shuts a bunch of them up. I call them trans-trenders; they are playing pretend and glomming on to my child’s extremely painful and rare condition for social cred.
It’s no different than the fakers who claim they have cancer and start a go fund me.

I have encountered this when working with gays and lesbians many times.
They left the shelter of the family home with parents and went off to college. They were very impressionable, searching for an identity of their own.
They had a gay experience and were immediately validated by the gay community, which is a strong self validating community. This is like serving wine to an alcoholic as they are searching for identity validation.
