The reason Clark is playing for the Fever is because they were the worst team in the WNBA last year, so they got the first pick in the draft.
To use an NFL analogy, it’s like imagining Mahomes playing for the Carolina Panthers; not only wouldn’t he be anywhere near the stats he gets for the Chiefs, he would be coached as badly as Clark is with the Fever.
Just one nasty lez coach.
What does the owner care? It is probably the NBA’s money anyhow, they are fronting this train wreck of a league 15 million a year and own 50% of the WNBA.
Agree...after watching a few wNBA games the game seems to revolve around the following:
decent 3 point shooting
Pretty good passing most of the time
Easy “drive to the basket” layups( almost no lay ups in NBA)
Play around the basket is kinda sloppy..
Almost no tip-ins, almost never slam dunks..
Not much defense...
Lots of “carrying over”, and “steps”
Just looks like a “scrimmage”
Game needs:
Strong rebounds
Offensive put backs
Full court defensive pressure
More midrange 2 pointers
Pattern plays...backdoor passing
Slow down set up offenses...seems like “run and gun” now.
IMHO.
They have three all star players and a third rate coach that is way over her head.
There is nothing more vicious than an envious/jealous woman, especially if it involves another female. This coach has many problems, and most of them appear to be self-made.

I think the point being here is that
THE WNBA NOT ONLY LACKS FROM A GENERAL HIGH STANDARD OF PLAY, IT PROBABLY LACKS EVEN MORE FROM A LACK OF GOOD COACHING.
There’s plenty of room for improvement, but at all levels, people are tuning in.

MAYBE he can coach the team.
There are more fans to the game than I ever realized, ie they appreciate the chess like moves.
So, I think the two of us are in agreement, that if you get a super coach, who is bringing home all the things you’ve listed, The Fever for one, will be a super team.
I haven’t either. Caitlin is a really good basketball player. Quite possibly the best all-around player I’ve ever seen, black or white man or woman.
Yeah, something tells me people want to pay their hard-earned money to watch this remarkable young woman play basketball.
