[Did Churchill leave voluntarily or was he defeated, post WW2?]
The miraculous aspect of Churchill’s life that has nothing to do with politics is the way such an unhealthy-looking personality lived to be 90. If he had watched what he ate (and drank), he might have hit the century mark.

A lot of effective leaders had/have quirky personalities. Churchill was supposed to have drank a pint of brandy every day, BRFORE breakfast. And Napoleon, he was a moody f*ck too.
