I thought there was a rule that pilots cannot eat the same meal (after Airplane movie lol)It used to be the case. Stated to me by flight attendant when I didn't want the cold cereal option in first class. One of the cockpit crew had to eat the hot breakfast, the other cold cereal to avoid both eating the same food.
