Thank you for your service, Marine. If you were in OK, I'd buy you the best damn BBQ on Earth. Place is right off Route 66 and always has a line, but man it is worth it.
My half-brother (now deceased) served in Chu Lai. His MOS was Air Traffic Controller -- but coming home, he was screamed at by a lot of people who apparently thought ANYONE wearing a uniform had been at My Lai. Fortunately not spat on.
a lot of Marines came and went Chu Lai. Army took it over later.
only go thru OK going to Wichita Falls Tx. where daughter’s family lives.
