Maybe they have a new drug they want to try.
Biden is not going to suddenly start improving no matter how much they try. He has gotten noticeably worse in the past three or four weeks. I guess they can hope to get the media back on their side and pull that curtain closed again and hope the voters forget what was revealed last week.
But, trying to get rid of Biden and Harris now would make the entire primary season void and set a precedent that a party whose candidates is losing in the polls in the summer before election day can swap in a new candidate chosen in haste by convention delegates or the party’s “powers that be”. We will eventually end up where one party will switch out their candidate, and in response the other party will do the same. This is a total abandonment of accepted norms and probably a violation of several election laws.
Pushing for him to step down now due to his mental impairment would put Kamala in place and they don’t want to do that. But they can’t say Biden is too impaired to run as their candidate but quite all right to run our nation.
The Democrats have dug themselves into a deep hole. And unfortunately, they are dragging the entire nation down into that hole with them.
