This is true. What I am reading from Todd Starnes is that the RNC has removed pro-life language from the platform and the other cultural issues about family, etc., may be watered down or removed. Lara Trump, Trump surrogates, big mistake. The move to remove cultural issues has been ongoing for as long as I listened to Rush Limbaugh. Country club Republicans are embarrassed by conservative cultural values. It looks like they are getting what they want, for now. Starnes quotes a RNC person “where are your people gonna go?”. Some will stay home.
Combine this dumb move with infiltrators within the Christian world who drum up “how bad Trump is” in effort to dissuade support. The are risking a solid base of support to attract the mushy middle who could switch again because they do not have core values. Not dependable.
Mainly, how can we tell Christians to vote Biblical values and expect them to support a party that ignores Biblical values? Personally, I don’t think God is as concerned with finances as with life. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and created life. Who are we to worry about the first and destroy the second.
Best case scenario is that Trump will be stealth and govern as the pro-life president he was but as a party, I am very disappointed. I became active in the party because of life issues.
