Where did you find a $50 kayak? Would love to get my hands on one at that price. Thrift shop on 50% off day. Still have it. Wonderful boat, a Perception 9 ft. if I recall correctly.
Used kayaks are often available in the fall.

You could probably find a used Intex Challenger inflatable for 50 bucks on Offerup, although I wouldn’t recommend paddling a Challenger on anything more challenging than a calm lake.
