I get the impression that some, for example Joe Scarborough, have received (or anticipate) the memo to turn on Biden. Others, for example Keith Olbermann, are either further down the chain, or slower to pick up on signals, and are 100% behind Biden. There is confusion amongst the influencers. The liberals on your street and mine probably support Biden. They are waiting to be told authoritatively what they should think.
Back when Hitler and Stalin became allies, American communists shared a similar confusion. Many left the party. I don’t think that will happen with today’s Democrats.
