It’s not the same. Usually taxpayers have no say in funding stadiums, and the NFL does a great job at marketing their product. Also the kids with little leagues. It’s hard to say no.
Correct. They could have changed something like $7.99 for a single out of market game,or $100 for an entire year of your teams games. Pay per view technology allowed this as far back as 2002 with digital cable.

I wouldn’t watch the NFL even if they paid me $10 per game.
