What to Expect from the Presidential 'Debate'
American Thinker ^ | 27 Jun, 2024 | J.B. Shurk

It’s too bad Jake from State Farm wasn’t available to moderate the first (and likely only) presidential debate. That guy loves good deals as much as President Trump, and the two would have gotten along famously. Instead, we’re stuck with Jake from CNN — the Democrat partisan whose dour facial expression seems fixed somewhere between that of a scowling schoolmarm and a haughty tailor inhaling a flatulent customer’s farts.

Part of America’s kabuki “democracy” requires that only rabid Marxist-Democrats be allowed to host forums for political candidates vying for office. It doesn’t make any sense and generally guarantees that Republicans end up debating the moderators as much as they debate their opponents on stage, but tradition demands that Democrats be in total control of what questions Republicans are asked.

In 2012, George Stephanopoulos — a Clinton henchman cosplaying as an “objective” journalist — was obsessed with asking Republican presidential candidates whether they would ban contraception. Nobody understood why Tiny George was so strangely fascinated with Republicans’ stance on cheap prophylactics. Later on during the general election, Democrats ran scare campaigns claiming that Republicans wanted to criminalize casual sex. It became clear that Staphylococcal’s tawdry debate questions were designed to drive single women to the polls while painting Republicans as the villains from The Handmaid’s Tale. That’s the kind of “objective” journalism we should expect from CNN.

Perhaps Dana Bash — Jake from CNN’s Democrat co-moderator — will try to pull the birth control gambit against Trump on behalf of all women who are desperately afraid of marriage and monogamy, or perhaps she will spend her time on television accusing Trump of serial “Me Too” crimes for which he must be punished. Either way, the Communist News Network believes it has a journalistic duty to...

That’s what I’ve been thinking. And even if he complies with the Gag Order, he will be forced to explain that he is under a gag order, which in itself would serve their purpose.

The moderators should be muted after the question is asked. They will be the ones interrupting Trump and talking over him.

Trump need not answer any questions about his trials. Simply pivot. He can say that’s not what the American people care about. I want to talk about what bothers them, not me, and it’s this poor economy due to Biden’s policies.
Trump should know the price of some groceries now and when he was in office. Not just the percent inflation.

“Supervisors of elections count campaign strategy success vote by vote.”

“Supervisors of elections” shouldn’t be concerned with the success or failure of any candidate’s campaign. Their job should have it’s focus on the overall integrity of the voting process, including the precision and accuracy of vote-counting methods.

Biden is being touted as making a “comeback” at the debate,

What’s he coming back from? He’s never been anywhere........ except in his own befuddled brain.

Maybe he’s going to brag about his (gag) “accomplishments?”
<><>letting misfits and criminals pour over the border
<><>maiming and encouraging transgender kids
<><>escalating the numbers of murders of unborn babies?
<><>raising a son who’s a disbarred, convicted felon and indicted tax evader?
<><>duping a special counsel investigating him for mishandling classified documents?
<><>wasting billions of tax dollars in foreign countries?
<><>stealing the 2020 election?
<><>having a fashion flop for a wife?
<><>taking the most vacations than any other president?
<><>and so on and so forth, ad infinitum ad nauseaum.

In a $25 trillion economy, the Biden take is miniscule.
Trump needs to focus on what matters to voters, such as electric bills and the Democrats’ crazy 100% religious fervor over CO2, which plants eat.

You and I are in agreement over priorities. However, I respectfully disagree that Trump can articulate this effectively into the few seconds' worth of soundbites he'll be allowed to do before the Dim "moderators" cut his mic. Therefore, IMHO, a quick dig against both Biden and his "moderators" would have more effect in the "debate". If I'm wrong and Trump is allowed at least one speaking segment of one or two uninterrupted minutes, then what you typed is better.

Yeah, Biden will be amped up for sure. I don’t know if that works well for him, but they have to do something. The problem with the drugs he’ll be on is that he goes from walking cadaver to rageaholic. There’s no middle sweet spot. Expect both both moderators to reel him in and prevent him from coming across as a full-fledged psycho.

Agree, he shouldn’t have challenged Brandon. Slow Joe is destroying obamy’s 3rd term quite well on his own.

Hope Trump is civil and doesn’t go on a rant. Sure, we love it when he does at the rallies but not tonight.

I’ll watch with 5 bags of popcorn, most of which will be thrown at the tv so lots to clean up tomorrow. We’re having hot dogs, homemade chips and ice tea. Thinking I’ll pass around the goofy patriotic headbands I got for the 4th.

Biden benefits from low expectations going into this debate.
All he has to do is regurgitate his talking points and the media will say he won against the “felon” Trump.

It’s 2 against 1 for Trump and they control the mics. However Trump can benefit through the contrast of his normal working brain type of banter with Biden’s artificially stiff talking points. Of course this assume Biden holds up and spits out his lines. All bets are off if Biden craters but my bet is he hangs on.

Trump should ask if Joe regrets being a puppet for Obama’s destruction of US agenda. Does he want to apologize to Americans now before they lock you away again for months.

Judge Jeanine made an excellent point last night on The Ingraham Angle. After showing a CNN clip where they demonstrated how silencing Trump’s mike will work, she indicated that Trump’s greatest responses to a debate opponent are his non-verbal expressions and gestures. She played clips of Trump in his debates with Biden and Hillary. Rolling eyes, shaking his head, chuckling, etc.

Will CNN also have to turn off Trump’s video while Sleepy Joe is talking?

They won’t use a split screen or broad view camera. They know better. This is not going to be a debate. It will be a Trump inquisition. I am one of the few people on this that thinks DJT will lose this debate if he attempts vintage Trump. They have removed every conceivable manner in which Trump can have an advantage. He will only win if he defies his tendencies and gives them something they don’t expect. Their entire pre-programmed and rehearsed game plan would be uphended.

I have had the same thoughts - I posted yesterday:

“Unless the are already recorded, and in the can, for editing in.

And, I just had the thought that they will put a delay on the mics.

For Trump’s “Stochastic Terrorism”, the threat to the planet’s exsistandce.
==and==
is there anything the Trump camp can do to combat it ?
= = =

Trump can use his own recorder/camera. Hidden.
Maybe with a comms link to outside.

Will they do a body scan for hidden devices?

Will they have him/the whole studio in a Faraday cage?

So he will have continuous, real time recording to compare with the broadcast version.

Of course if he does, that will be called deep fake, ai generated.

He can blink in morse code. Write on the notebook and hold it up. Use hand gestures.

Or just move his lips, and they will have to flip the switches to ‘fix’ the ‘dead’ mic. Oh, they probably have a bunch of mics, in view and hidden.

And Joe’s podium is wired specially for Joe. With a shock device for his dog collar.

Do I believe the coin toss for podiums is honest????

==
I will try to watch (if there isn’t some ‘water pipe rupture’ somewhere in the broadcast facility, and I will evaluate all my imaginations, above.

Unless someone goes up in flames, it’s doubtful it will matter.
= = =

Trump’s podium is wired with a propane bomb. CNN will Ignite it Trump, —> up in flames.

(And the coin toss is rigged, too.)

Pres. Biden, do you choose Heads or Tails?

“Tails, always Tails!”, I only sniff Heads.

I expect the same old, same old..

Biden will get reverence and respect and all the leeway he wants or needs..

Trump will be beaten up, cut short, told he can’t…etc.. by the entire pack of jackals that run this thing.

I agree. It’s totally pointless.

NOBODY’S mind will be swayed ; people just want to see THEIR guy destroy the OTHER team’s guy.

But I see questions like this:

-“Trump.. how do you expect to serve in the White House as a CONVICTED FELON?!?..”

-“..PRESIDENT Biden.. tell us about your many wonderful accomplishments, please!…”
