We’ll never know the real true number because people that died while having covid but actually died of some other cause were many times counted as covid deaths.

That skewed the data to the point the real number is unattainable.

Maybe the same in 1918, but the per capita death rate was three times worse. My grandmother died in it, leaving my grandfather with five children, the two youngest had to go into foster care to stay alive.

My Mom was one of them, later adopted by her loving, pious foster parents, who loved me and I them. But I knew my real grandfather, who never forgot me, either.
