The Dems pirate symbolism and can even turn a zeitgeist on its head.

For over a century the color red was the symbol of Communism until some bright nightly news minion made the election return maps represent Republican results with the color red and the Democrats were colored "true blue", but not to worry, there was not a peep out of us.   Now the color red is for everything Republican represented with the color red.   We accept it and think nothing of it while the commissars snicker and giggle behind our backs.
