Time for my personal story.
Date, August 1976.
Place, personnel office of a fortune 500 company ( I wont say michigan bell, ameritec or at&t ).
In order to get a job with them, you had to take and pass a test. My father worked there since his 18th birthday, and was now an engineer. All I had to do was pass the test and I had a job, right???
Took the test, scored a 96 out of 100. I got a job, right???
I went to sit down in the personnel office, across the desk from a pretty blonde woman, ready to get my job, right???
Wrong.
This so called person would not even look me in the face!!!!
She looked down at her desk and said to me, and I quote:
“96 out of 100. Normally we would hire you on the spot. But, we have a problem. You see, you are both the wrong sex and the wrong color. If you were a black female, you would not have even had to take the test. I’m sorry, but we have nothing for you”.
Now, how many of you have experienced this, or know someone that has, black or white?
My guess is pretty close to zero.
These so called panty waisted moronic misfits have never experienced pure discrimination like my bleached white butt has!!!!
I experienced this in 1981. 4 hour interview to be told they couldn’t hire me because I was white.
They wasted 4 hours of my time is what pissed me off more. The minute they saw me, they could have taken the application but no...
mine is from september 1973 (i will not say pacbell)
took a test for a motorized messanger(deliver mail to offices)
my dad had worked for PT&T from 1947 knew the HR manager. got me a test. scored probably as high as you did. never heard form them. found out later i was the wrong color period...

funny thing was 6 yrs later my wife, my brothers wife and my brother all got hired, but again not me..
