Yup.
I saw a jack collapse and trap (but not crush) a woman working on her car in the apartments next door. No jack stands.
But everyone who was there rushed over to help. (that whole building pretty much blue collar younger whites)
I use Harbor Freight jack stands (checked to make sure they weren’t on the recall list). Because they are HF, I back them up with wood blocks as well as place any wheels I’ve removed under the vehicle.
