We live in a HOA. The law allows no more than 90 days before an election, and no more than 10 days after, a sign for each candidate or ballot measure can be displayed.

Our HOA tried that saying it was city law, I got letters. I pushed back as the Supreme Court has spoken on this and noted that our local city has waived sign ordinances as a result, and the end result is I can put up signs 24x7x365.

You might check what the HOA is basing that on, then check and see if it is still current.
