(they call it country fried because people today think chicken fried steak has chicken)

I read somewhere that chicken-fried steak has white gravy and country-fried steak has brown gravy. I invite any aficionados of this cuisine to set me straight.

The waitress said you know it’s not chicken. I said said of course. She said they tell people who call chicken fried steak that.
