If Biden does well or holds his own, he remains the candidate
and increases his chances of winning.

That is my prediction that Biden will be re-elected and at
some point will step down and we will have our first female
President. Depending upon when the step down occurs she
could serve the remainder of that term and either one or two
full terms via the electoral process.

And no matter how batty she is the Dems will demand that the public support the new historical president and “give her the time and space” she needs to lead the country forward. The media will happily support this transition — for an extended period of time with gentle coverage.
