You and I do not share the same values, but I am definitely not trying to embarrass FR.

As others are pointing out, this post bad and wrong and the people commenting in favor of your idea that educating women leads to cultural rot puts you are par with the Tabiban. Nice.

But that is not what FR is about, nor 99% of us here. This post should be deleted, you should be zotted, and those who have supported your Taliban-esque bigotry should seriously reflect on what they are thinking and why. [Corrected typo]

“w hen men quit raising their children and pushed the burden off on their wives.”

A common masculine sin in all cultures which must be fought with strong laws.

And before I hear the chorus of “b*thx deserved it” and I know some women are rotten — the kids are perfectly innocent and need to be protected, parented, loved and provided for.

“At some point in the 1800s it became acceptable for men to leave their families behind to do other things.”

This was due to industrialization and machines driven by water power, then by steam engines and finally by electric motors.

It is not wrong to teach women how to contribute to their families and to society.

It is wrong to teach women to abuse governmental power.

“When men quit raising their children and pushed the burden off on their wives.”

When women used the power of the vote given to them by men to create a substitute man, the welfare state. Women then made it clear that real men were no longer needed and that they were unwilling to do the work needed to keep a real man. Men took the hint.

Combined oral contraceptives—Also called “the pill,” combined oral contraceptives contain the hormones estrogen and progestin. It is prescribed by a doctor. A pill is taken at the same time each day. If you are older than 35 years and smoke, have a history of blood clots or breast cancer, your doctor may advise you not to take the pill. Typical use failure rate: 7%.

Progestin only pill—Unlike the combined pill, the progestin-only pill (sometimes called the mini-pill) only has one hormone, progestin, instead of both estrogen and progestin. It is prescribed by a doctor. It is taken at the same time each day. It may be a good option for women who can’t take estrogen. Typical use failure rate: 7%.

Implant—The implant is a single, thin rod that is inserted under the skin of a women’s upper arm. The rod contains a progestin that is released into the body over 3 years. Typical use failure rate: 0.1%.

Levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG IUD)—The LNG IUD is a small T-shaped device like the Copper T IUD. It is placed inside the uterus by a doctor. It releases a small amount of progestin each day to keep you from getting pregnant. The LNG IUD stays in your uterus for up to 3 to 8 years, depending on the device. Typical use failure rate: 0.1-0.4%.

Failure to take small pills can lead to growing problems both inside wombs and out of them.

People are so short sighted and forgetful. You are 100% correct. That’s the reason we are where we are.

2.

At least a higher education has some benefit to the general public.

Food stamps and other freebies only worsen and increase the poverty levels and harms society as a whole.

Without the groundwork laid by 16th and 17th amendments, the 19th Amendment would be inconsequential.

The 16th made us tax slaves and the 17th destroyed our REPUBLIC.

The 19th was just what they got in the divorce settlement - everything.

Success breeds rot. Hardships help collective culture. A easy life is prone to corruption and vices. Capitalism helps to amplifying those choices. It takes discipline and stoicism not to go down a bad path.

The 16th, 17th and 19th Amendments are not going away.

The path forward is to limit government power.

Fighting now in Congress to place middle class income and real property tax caps into the Constitution would add the electors of several deep blue states to Trump’s total and make Congress turn deep red come November, with the middle class being defined as persons having income in the range of federal civil servants.

There are many families who don’t abuse SNAP contrary to the rhetoric on this site. The food stamp corruption tends to be in the usual “problem areas”, not so much white suburbia.

Another really good comment.

The path forward is to limit government power.

I don't see that happening. Eventually, we will become like the Soviet Union.

It's possible that we may end up like Brazil but I don't think so.
