Maybe you really didn’t have a smart phone with you.. Did your spouse? - Not much difference. “It” knows.
I’ll pass along a prediction a geek friend of mine told me over 15 years ago. He said, “Someday soon.. when you walk in one of those big box stores..:
-”They” will know who you are.
-”They” will know where you live.
-”They” will know what you are interested in shopping for.
-”They” will know approximately how much money you have available to spend.
-”They” just might ping your phone with an ad to seal the deal on your shopping interests.
“Privacy” as you knew it is gone.”
