The official appointment of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte as NATO Secretary General will take place on Wednesday, June 26.
According to diplomats from several NATO countries, Rutte’s appointment as NATO Secretary General was approved by the permanent representatives of all 32 members of the bloc.
If elected, Rutte will take office on October 1, when the mandate of current NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expires.
As a reminder, Rutte remained the only candidate for the post of NATO Secretary General after Romanian President Klaus Iohannis had withdrawn his candidacy.
Earlier, current NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg called Rutte a “strong candidate.”

Media shows consequences of intelligence strike on ammunition storage point in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast.
Radio Liberty’s Russian service released a satellite image taken on 25 June showing a fire at a storage point in Voronezh Oblast, Russia.
DETAILS:
The photo shows a fire at an ammunition depot with at least two fire outbreaks, which corresponds to local residents’ reports of two drones attacking the storage point on the night of 25 June.
In a video shot by local residents, the sounds of secondary detonation are clearly heard. Based on data from the Wikimapia service, the storage point was set up on the territory of a former farm.
“I doubt anybody pays or coerces most of these amateur Pro-Putin Posters, so we are left with Ideology or Ego. Take your pick. But I’d like to add a fifth category: Dopamine.”
I’ll add a sixth category for you chaddie: ENTERTAINMENT!
Zeepers are a laugh a minute and you’re all too stupid to realize we’re playing you just for the laughs.
There's probably a very good reason he's FR Class of 2017, and it probably has something to do with being given the bum's rush in 2016 for his opinions about The Orange Man.
>>>>Bear with me for a minute. Your gal even lied over there about getting the zot here.
I do miss the humor Ms. Mitty provided. That bear story was a gut buster.<<<<
Mommy hasn’t said a peep about the loss of her rabies infected flying monkey, meggie aka meggie crockett, or meggie’s invite to join her at her new hang out.
Meggie lied her UKE butt off here so I’m not surprised she’s doing it over there. It’s her nature, just like it’s a dog’s nature to lift its leg and whiz on a hydrant.
Too bad she got the boot before she posted her recipe for making soap out of bear fat...something we never read in Heloise Hints.
Another bimbo insult to fill my tank. Pathetic, but if that's the best you can do, I'll accept it.
I see what you did there. 😏
>>>>All should comply with guideline agreed to when signing on to FR. By giving their word, this would be considered as good as a verbal contract with assumption of their having ethical integrity to be bound by their word.
Mr Robinson authored further specific guidelines for those individuals that struggling with compliance:
I respect his guidelines. Compare the comments by others on this post to see the irony revealed.<<<<
Question for mommy: After all your finger wagging today, do you still have any fingers left?
You’re the biggest hoot on FR. You, the poster who’s had countless threads and posts pulled, preaching to us about “ethical integrity”?!
Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:5, “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”
Didn’t they teach you that verse at the ultra-lib theological seminary you attended? Or was your focus LGBTUXYZ / Social Justice studies?
>>>>I see the thought of having to actually read something terrifies you.<<<<
I can’t speak for kirandil, but I’d rather have two total knee replacement surgeries performed at the same time, than read one of BroJoke’s exceedingly long and agonizingly boring posts.
Huh?
Hitting the sauce again I see...
Exactly.
Mommy’s discovered The Thesaurus.
More laughs coming our way.
Hasn't she said several times on various threads that she passes over certain Freeper comments, and ignores others? She even said so here:
Post 533: "I purposely skip over freepers that label & insult."
Freeper dforest responded to that comment here:
Post: 543: "Truth is you don’t skip over things, you have them removed. lol"
Mommy then claimed:
Which we know is a big, fat lie because on June 29, 2023, she mistakenly posted an abuse request to Allegra, thinking she was writing to the mod, and requested that Post #64, which was Rocco DiPippo's, and #67 which was Allegra's be removed:
And here's the proof, a screen shot showing her error of contacting Allegra asking her to remove those posts:
She even had the mods remove her post making the request to Allegra at #73, which is why Allegra took a screen shot of it before it was removed.
As soon as one of us makes a comment on one of her threads, not to her, but to another person, she jumps right on it, defending herself, claiming we're lying, and giving lectures on how people should act on FR. She needs help. Her behavior patterns are like the cartoon character Lucy Van Pelt in the "Snoopy" comic strip, who has been called a fussbudget, bossy, crabby and opinionated. She also exhibits what is known as the Dunning–Kruger effect, which is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities. She does excell in cut and paste though, and hitting that abuse button, and she and her friends provide great entertainment. It's the comedy intermission here.
I've been here almost 27 years without ever being warned, or suspended. I've also never felt like I've had to take a break from Free Republic, so I must have been doing something right all these years. Mommy makes the rules up as she goes along, and actually commits the same violations and abuses she claims others do, and has the nerve to lecture them.
She acts like she's never claimed we're crazy for Putin:
Post 84: "Sadly, some are obsessed with Putin."
She won't acknowledge that the majority of the people who post on her threads are against this proxy war, because of the untold billions of unaccounted-for tax payer dollars being wasted, and nobody's being held responsible to explain where it's all gone.
Instead, she claims we're the ones "obsessed with Putin." She mentions Putin more than any of us ever do. She's the one obsessed with him. I think she really wants to date him.
It's sayink, "Vote for Biden."
And look! Post 213 seems to have been removed. I wonder how that happened? 🤔
