We fought a proxy war with Russia and China in the Korean War with no clear victory. That was 71 years ago, and we still have troops stationed in South Korea. The U.S. hasn’t had a victory in any proxy war it has fought against Russia or China since then, yet here we are again, fighting another proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, where unaccounted-for billions of tax payer dollars are being wasted. The only individuals who win in proxy wars, are the politicians on both sides of the aisle, their family members, friends, and big donors that have investments in the industrial military complex. The American taxpayer gets screwed once again.

Aside from compelling the Soviet retreat from Afghanistan what proxy war has the US fought with either China or Russia since Korea?
