I shaved off all my hair about 20 years ago in protest for a work policy not allowing us to have long hair, found out I liked it a lot better, and I’ve had it all cut off every month or two ever since. I’d shave my head daily, but I have too many moles, and prefer not to bleed.
They hired a guy a couple of years later with hair down to his waist, of course.
“When you entirely shave your head, it is INTENTIONAL. You don’t look like a poor sap that is trying to comb over what is left. You have embraced baldness and you and it are one!”
Comb overs fool no one. Many years ago there was a fellow from India who worked at the reseach center. His comb over was a spectacular feat of engineering. We all knew but never talked with him about it. One day walking from the parking lot into work I saw him catch a strong breeze that unraveled his comb-over. That thing unfurled like a flag extending about 3 feet long flapping in the wind. It was ridiculous and hilarious.
did you ever tell your buddy what she thought of him?
My boss used to say that grass doesn’t grow on busy streets, and his wife would reply that it doesn’t grow through pavement, either.
