It’s honestly refreshing to hear someone say that on here.
People have to understand what conservatism is. They are stuck in the past.
With $36T in debt, all issues of tax and spend no longer mean anything. That debt level has no solution. There is nothing that can be done.
It is not at all clear why this guy backstabbed Trump. Why would he think that would have no repercussions?
There are only two issues. The Border and the Swamp, which means eradication of incumbents. That is conservatism from now on, and Good was an incumbent, so that worked against him.
As for his anti vax anti mask obsession, that would at least be consistent except that he announced the virus is real. If he had announced there was no virus, then he would have been consistent in ignoring death counts. But he said it was real, which suggested he didn’t want any efforts to stop killing old people. But I doubt this moved many votes.
He backstabbed himself when he backstabbed Trump.
Plenty of us here openly state the fact that Trump likes winners, and his endorsements are not usually MAGA/America First, but whoever is likely to win. Whether or not there is vindictiveness in some of this, like potentially in the Endorsement of Good’s opponent, is unknown to me and likely all of us here.
Trump does not pick good people, he picks “winners” and “ring kissers”
anyone that got behind Desantis being black listed/targets of political moves like this would be an absolute full retard move by Trump and his team. Desantis is obviously more Conservative then Trump, and some people prefer that.
This and the Vax push are the two worse things about his Presidency. His first stint in the swamp obviously didn’t teach him a damn thing about how important personnel picks are. Yes, I am well aware Mitch blocked most of his important picks, but Mitch didn’t bring that loser scaramuchi in, or endorse back stabbing rinos over Freedom Caucus people.
Does he see it that way?...I don't know, and really don't care.
For 40+ years most folks here (including myself) have supported candidates that stabbed us in the back(Bush x2, McStain, Myth...too many to count).
Will Trump end up on that wall of shame?
Odds say yes...unfortunately.
Believers are told NOT to put their FAITH in "humanity", and not look at THIS world as their FINAL "resting place".
...that their "eternal" SALVATION comes from a higher authority...that only dwells in THIS world as spirit...not in the flesh.
I myself was not brought up with any "faith" reasoning, therefore it's a struggle every day to look at this world today and not be frustrated.
But I am still a work in progress, who HAS learned ONE lesson...
