Absolutely one of the greatest baseball players who ever lived. I’ve been a fan of his ever since I read his biography in grade school. RIP Willie.

Willie Mays and Vin Scully finally meet on Scully’s last day. Scully had always said Mays was the greayest player he’d ever seen. No disagreement here.

Met him on the tee at a celebrity pro-am in the 80’s. Smiling, enjoying life, which he deserved.

I assume he played at Ricketts field in the negro league, where the MLB is hosting a game this weekend (iirc)...wish he could have seen that.
