Actually I was once in a play (Amateur) when one of the cast said the last line at the dress rehearsal.. The main character's father died unexpectedly during the run of the show.

Ignore show biz traditions at your peril.

But I thought it was ok for it to be said by a cast member during rehearsal and the last line of the play does not include the name Macbeth?
