This time, with 8 billion mouths to feed.
And GDII would almost certainly would be followed by WWIII.

The very nations that have benefited the most over the past 80 years of relative peace and free trade, brought to you courtesy of the US Navy, will be the nations hardest hit when the Breton Woods system ends. Without the US Navy securing the oceanic trade routes, the only nations besides the US that have a hope of survival are those nations either rich enough to already have a Navy to secure their trade (Britain, France, Japan, India) or who are close allies with one of these five nations.
You will notice that I left out Russia and China. By the time we get to this point, their navies will corroding afterthoughts which they shouldn't have been pouring money into in the first place. These two countries are doomed for both economic and demographic reasons.
Nations not previously mentioned that I expect to do relatively well, include Turkey, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and possibly Nigeria.
